
In June 1998, Alan joined Siemens plc, initially as Project Director for the implementation of SAP R/3, before being appointed Chief Information Officer for Siemens plc in July 1999.
July 2001 marked Alan's return to Siemens AG in Munich again with the start of the Spiridon Initiative across Siemens. He was appointed Global Program Director reporting to the CFO of Siemens AG. This challenging position initiated IT & Process Standardization activities across all regions of Siemens worldwide.
Alan began his Siemens career with Nixdorf Computer AG in Paderborn, Germany in 1987 as a computer programmer. He then moved into the newly founded SNI in 1990, based in Munich. This led to a series of different roles involving international project management within SNI. Following the launch of Siemens IT Solutions and Services, Alan moved closer to the customer front holding several roles as both Executive Account Director and Program Director for external multinational customers.
Alan is a keen sailor and enjoys spending his free time with family close to any of the coastlines of this planet.
