Holger Klotz was appointed Managing Director of Mobisphere, based in Reading, in February 2003.

Holger joined Mobisphere from Siemens in Tokyo, where he had been working as General Manager of the new Mobile Communications Networks Department.
Here he was responsible for supporting the joint venture activities between Siemens and NEC Corporation and for co-ordinating standardisation activities for 3G mobile communications.
He was engaged in a joint research project for broadband mm-wave technology with the Japanese government and conducted research into the Japanese communications market.
After completing a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Colorado in Boulder, USA, Holger joined Siemens in 1992 as part of a project management team for ‘X.25 packet network systems’ and was subsequently appointed as the responsible Project Manager for wireless local loop projects.
He transferred to Siemens K.K. (Tokyo) in September 1996, where he was initially assigned head of the Technology Support Department for PABX telephone systems, before transferring to the Mobile Communications Networks Department in June 1988.
