Hans-Werner Linne was appointed CEO of Siemens VAI UK in June 2007.
Werner started his career in 1971 in an Engineering Department of Siemens in Siegen (Westphalia), Germany. In 1978 he relocated to the global Industry Head Office in Erlangen, as a market segment manager for turn-key Diesel Power Stations. In 1988 he was promoted to the position of Deputy Director (Marketing and Project Management) for the worldwide turn-key Diesel Power Station Business of Siemens.
In 1996 Werner moved to Jakarta, Indonesia, to become Director and Member of the Board of P.T. Siemens Indonesia, as well as General Manager of Siemens Indonesia’s Industrial Projects and Service Division. In 2003, he was appointed President and CEO of I&S Group’s ‘Infrastructure and Marine Solutions’ Division in Erlangen, Germany.
Before moving to the UK, Werner was based in Beijing where he held the position of Vice President Siemens Ltd China and President of the Industrial Solutions & Services Group (I&S).
He holds an engineering diploma in electrical power engineering. Werner is married and, in their spare time, he and his wife enjoy various sports activities, particularly tennis and golf.
