Christian Roth was appointed Managing Director of Siemens Transportation Systems in October 2005.
He is responsible for the management and strategic development of the Siemens rail business in the UK.
Between 2000 and October 2005, Christian was responsible for sales, marketing and project management of the electrification business of Siemens' global Transportation Systems Group. During that period the business achieved annual growth of 10% with major projects in China, Spain and the UK.
From March 1997, he headed the Product Management division of Siemens Transportation Systems Mass Transit organisation, having started his career with Siemens in 1990 in the Automation and Drives division, with spells in Nuremberg, Berlin and the USA.
Christian completed a masters degree in Mechanical Engineering Studies in 1990. He is married with three children.
