
He joined Siemens in June 1995 after returning from the US, having finished a masters degree in ceramics engineering.
Arthur originally started working on a Ph.D. project in the gradient coil development department of the MR division in Erlangen, Germany. In 1998, he took over the group management for the gradient system factory support and was responsible for magnet support from 2000 onwards.
After finishing his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 2001, Arthur moved on to the MR marketing division, with responsibility for MR product strategy including the product definition for the next generation of MRI scanners. In 2003, he led the launch team for the MAGNETOM Avanto product, before moving to Oxford in late summer of the same year.
