Siemens appoints Claire Carless as UK General Counsel and Company Secretary
Siemens plc, the leading engineering and technology services company, has appointed Claire Carless as UK General Counsel and Company Secretary, with immediate effect. The appointment follows the retirement of Gerard Gent, who held the position for 16 years.
Roland Aurich, CEO Siemens plc said, “I am delighted that Claire Carless has joined us as our General Counsel. It is a fascinating time for our company as we consolidate and grow our UK business.”
Claire Carless joins Siemens following a career encompassing both UK and international roles in private practice and in-house at National Power and most recently Vodafone.
Carless, a law-graduate from Lincoln College, Oxford, is also a non-executive director of the South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust and a trustee of LawWorks, a charity that acts as a clearing house, connecting people who need legal support and lawyers willing to work on a pro bono basis.
Born and brought up in South Wales, Claire Carless now lives near Newbury with her husband, Chris, and two sons, aged 17yrs and 15yrs.
