David was appointed Managing Director of Roke Manor Research in November 2006.
He joined Roke in 2000 as an account manager for defence customers and was promoted to run the radio systems business unit the following year. In this role he was responsible for refocusing the business to grow turnover and profit. He had overall responsibility for overseeing projects ranging from radio concept studies, through to design for mass production.
Before joining Siemens he worked for DERA at Malvern where he led teams developing miniature RF solutions for operational use and providing systems consultancy to government.
David began his career as an academic, designing silicon germanium transistors, before leading a start-up initiative to exploit Warwick University physics research in UK industry and the Far East.
David graduated from London University and holds a PHD from University of Warwick.
Rune Marki took over as CEO of Osram Limited in the UK and Ireland on the 1 May 2008.
After 22 years with ABB and CEO of three different ABB Companies in Norway, Runi started as CEO of OSRAM Norway in 2000.
He has already become an active member in the Lighting Industry and is a Director of the Lighting Industry Federation; as well as a General Representative of the Council of Management of the Lighting Association.
Rune has settled in Windsor and is often seen on various golf courses when he is off duty. Coming from the North, he is also a passionate Cross Country Skier and likes to be out in the open air.
Andrew Beshaw was appointed Managing Director of Siemens Real Estate in December 1997. In this role he is responsible for the effective management of all Siemens’ real estate in the UK and North West Europe and the strategic direction of the company in real estate matters. Andrew is also a Director of Siemens Properties Ltd and Thames Valley Economic Partnership.
Following the establishment of Siemens Real Estate as the property holding company, Andrew looks to make more effective use of property by using the latest working techniques and to further improve the service to occupiers and their working environment.
He is also working closely with Siemens Real Estate GmbH to ensure a global approach to property. Previously Andrew held the post of Property Director at Virgin Cinemas, where he was responsible for all aspects of cinema acquisition and development in the UK and throughout Europe.
He also held the post of Development Director at Grand Metropolitan Estates Developments Ltd, where he was responsible for adding value to the Group property portfolio and releasing latent development value.
Andrew was a panel member of the Barker Review of Planning reporting to the Government on the issues and potential improvements to the Planning system.
Andrew was educated at The Polytechnic of the South Bank, where he obtained a degree in surveying. He is also a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
