John is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has over 12 years internal audit experience having worked for various blue chip companies including The Burton Group and British Airways before joining Siemens UK Corporate Audit in July 2004. Whilst at British Airways John also spent four years in Corporate Finance and three years as Finance Director for Speedwing International, a consultancy subsidiary of the airline.
John took up his role as Regional Compliance Officer in August 2007 and is a member of the UK Executive Management Board and compliance coordinator for the North West Europe cluster.
Toby Peyton-Jones became HR Director for Siemens UK in August 2008.
Toby started his career as an officer in the Royal Engineers. Later he worked for the Centre for Leadership and Development and then moved into management consulting during the 1980's.
Toby joined Siemens in 1989 and performed a number of HR related roles, supporting the rapid growth of Siemens in the UK. He moved to China in December 1999 to take up a General Management role as Director of a small legal entity (Siemens Management Institute).
Toby returned to Germany in 2003 as Integration Manager for the acquisition of Alstom's Industrial Turbine Division. Following this in 2005, Toby moved to Siemens Headquarters in Munich jointly heading up the global HR Mergers & Acquisitions function.
Claire joined Siemens in 2001, as Head of Public Affairs, responsible for Government Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility. Additional responsibilities also included putting together the Siemens UK Annual Review and acting as deputy to the Director of Corporate Communications. In August 2008 Claire took over the role as Director of Communications & Government Affairs for the recently restructured Communications Team.
Claire has a degree in Modern European Studies from Loughborough University. Prior to joining Siemens she spent seven years working for the National Farmers' Union (NFU). She joined as Parliamentary Adviser and ended her NFU career as Adviser to the President.
Alan began his Siemens career with Nixdorf Computer AG in Paderborn, Germany in 1987 as a computer programmer. He then moved into the newly founded SNI in 1990, based in Munich. This led to a series of different roles involving international project management within SNI. Following the launch of Siemens IT Solutions and Services, Alan moved closer to the customer front holding several roles as both Executive Account Director and Program Director for external multinational customers.
In June 1998, Alan joined Siemens plc, initially as Project Director for the implementation of SAP R/3, before being appointed Chief Information Officer for Siemens plc in July 1999.
July 2001 marked Alan's return to Siemens AG in Munich again with the start of the Spiridon Initiative (One ERP for Siemens) across Siemens. He was appointed Global Program Director reporting to the CFO of Siemens AG. This challenging position initiated IT & Process Standardization activities across all regions of Siemens worldwide.
Alan returned in December 2007 to take over responsibilities for Shared Services & CIO across the UK and North West Europe.
Alan is a keen sailor and enjoys spending his free time with family close to any of the coastlines of this planet.
In February 2009, Bettina was appointed as Head of Business Development for Siemens plc & Cluster North West Europe.
Bettina joined Siemens in February 2004 as an Internal Strategy Consultant for Siemens AS in Oslo, Norway. She subsequently moved to Siemens Corporate Development Strategies (CD S) as a regional strategy consultant, where she was involved in the development of regional three-year business plans for energy and industrial goods covering the Arabian Peninsula, Egypt and South East Asia.
In January 2006, Bettina moved into the role of Strategy Consultant to Chief Strategy Officer of Siemens AG, where she was a Member of the Global Restructuring Team to design global principles for central functions.
In June 2008, Bettina became Senior Strategy Analyst for the Corporate Development function of Siemens UK, where she joined the SG&A project team for North West Europe, leading cross-country teams to implement the new CD functional structure and achieve defined cost reduction targets.
Bettina has a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Münster, Germany
