Andreas J. Goss has led the Siemens UK and North West Europe business as Chief Executive, Siemens UK & Cluster North West Europe, since his appointment in June 2008. He was previously the Chief Financial Officer for Siemens in the UK and held various finance posts within Siemens in Germany and the US prior to his move to the UK in 2006.
Siemens UK is one of the largest Siemens’ regional companies, with revenues of £4.2 billion and around 17,000 UK-based employees. The Cluster North West Europe which includes Denmark, Finland and the Baltic countries, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway and Poland as well as the UK has approximately €12 billion in revenues and employs more than 35,000 people.
Andreas was born in the picturesque German city of Regensburg and has a degree in Finance and Business Administration from the University of Regensburg. He is a keen mountaineer and enjoys participating in sport from ice-hockey to football. Andreas now follows the fortunes of the GB Rowing Team, which Siemens is sponsoring through to 2012.
Andreas is a member of the CBI’s climate change board.
