This solution is highly extensible, and can be applied to generation assets large and small, from power parks to large generation fleets. Further details are provided on the SPPA-M3000 overview on our global site (link opposite)
The solution includes the market-leading UK dispatch and monitoring solution (formerly known as Panacea) to provide a scaleable, reliable and robust platform for integration with Elexon and National Grid market interfaces in the UK.
The product development and support team, based in York, North Yorkshire, is a global centre of competence for energy management solutions. This means that Siemens has a strong UK presence to develop, deliver and support all Siemens energy management solutions.
The M3000:GPMS and M3000:ETS modules (formerly Panacea) provide a complete solution for connecting to and exploiting the UK dispatch and contract notification system, and includes highly configurable real time generation and imbalance graphs; real time National Grid dispatch via EDL; settlement of metering, BM Unit energy, account energy and ancillary services; National Grid medium term communications via EDT; National Grid long term outage notification via OC2; Elexon communication via file and BMRA; reconciliation of Ancillary Services; contract notification and position monitoring.
The M3000:CMS (Contract Management System) provides a flexible and robust solution for modelling complex energy and fuel supply agreements. It can interface to a wide variety of third party systems and provide a complete contract monitoring, settlement and reporting system.
The Siemens M3000 emissions solution is a fully featured emissions monitoring, reporting and compliance solution for small and large organisations that are subject to the EU emissions trading scheme. This solution is available either as a web-based application hosted by Siemens at a low cost, or as a fully installed solution integrated into other third party solutions.
Our solutions don’t just apply to large generation assets and fleets, we also have solutions tailored to smaller generators. A version of GPMS is available which is specifically tailored to monitoring generation from generators from 30 to 80 MW. We also provide a solution for the monitoring, aggregation and integration of multiple small embedded generation sites.
Siemens has extensive experience as a systems integrator for real-time monitoring and performance solutions based on OSI PI. From our base in the UK we can install, configure and fully exploit the opportunities presented by this powerful system. GPMS also provides a sophisticated and fully integrated interface to export despatch information to PI.
M3000 EMS, of which ETS, GPMS and CMS are a part, is a fully featured suite of integrated applications that cover the majority of tasks relating to plant scheduling, fleet performance monitoring, availability planning, reporting, plant management and shift management. It has links to standard ERP platforms from SAP and Oracle, giving a uniquely integrated solution that provides enormous benefits not only for plant operation but for financial management.ServicesFrom our base in York, UK, we can offer a wide variety of software and IT related services.
We provide a complete helpdesk, support and maintenance service for all of our products, and can also provide general IT support for any Microsoft based network. Our support service is run to ITIL standards.
We provide a complete product development service, specialising in energy generation, but also with specific expertise in emissions legislation (including emitter related services and registry related services), fuel management and generic systems development. Our services include project management, analysis, design, development and testing. We also provide support services for applications, networks, hardware and desktops.
