Siemens Fossil Power Generation is number two worldwide in supplying and servicing power plants.

This includes turnkey power stations to turbines, generators, electrical and electronic equipment and other key components.

In the UK, the business consists of:

New power plants
In partnership with its affiliates, the company designs and builds fossil-fuelled and hydro-electric power plants, as well as renewable energy and CHP plants. Siemens Fossil Power Generation and its affiliates have built around a third of the UK power generation fleet.

IT and control
Through ICIS Technology, a wholly owned subsidiary company, Siemens Power Generation provides tailored IT and control products, services and solutions to more than 80% of power generating companies in the UK.

Industrial gas turbines
At Lincoln, more than 2,000 employees design, manufacture and maintain small gas turbines. The facility exports around 85 per cent of the equipment it produces to power plant operators worldwide.
