Product Highlights from the Energy Sector

The HVDC long-distance transmission system of Neptune transmits 660 MW power from the Sayreville substation in New Jersey to the Duffy Avenue substation on Long Island.

Solar & Hydro
Marine Current Turbines Ltd (MCT) has a demonstrated pedigree of pioneering the development of tidal stream generation technology for over 20 years. Now wholly owned by Siemens, forming part of the Solar & Hydro Divison, MCT is poised to become the World’s leading OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) of commercial scale tidal stream technology, dedicated to research, design, manufacture and support of tidal stream energy generating systems.
Oil & Gas
The Oil & Gas Division offers customers products and solutions that are used for the extraction, conversion and transport of oil and gas. The Division portfolio also includes solutions for power generation and distribution, compressors with electrical and mechanical drives, process and automation technologies, water management and integrated IT solutions.
Energy Service
The Division provides comprehensive services for complete power plants and for rotating machines such as gas and steam turbines, generators and compressors. The services utilize the most advanced plant diagnostics and systems technologies. The portfolio also offers systems for filtering air. As part of its long-term maintenance contracts, the Division also takes over the servicing and operation of power plants. More information >
