It’s as important to us as it is to you that we’re a good match for one another. Take time to answer the questions below to see if your values and attitude to work match ours
Do you:
1. Enjoy exploring problems and making things work better?
2. Like working in a team?
3. Consider yourself to be a good communicator?
4. Enjoy making a positive impression on people?
5. Like the idea of working in a large multi-functional, multi-national business?
6. Want to take control of your career?
7. Respond well to challenges?
8. Want to prove you can meet your potential?
Each role has different entry requirements against which we screen all applications. You need to check these on the job description and additional information here {link back to table of vacancies} and make sure you’ve clearly demonstrated on your application that you meet them.
Competencies
There are certain types of behaviours (or competencies) that we look for in all our graduates:
Additionally, in lots of our roles we’re also looking for ‘technical competencies’, (such as how a turbine works), or ‘functional competencies’ (e.g. what a management accountant is there to do).
At Siemens, we don't have one selection process that applies to all vacancies but typically you’ll go through the following steps:
1. Submit Application & CV
2. Online testing
3. Review of your application by Siemens
4. Telephone interview
5. Assessment centre and face to face interview
1. Siemens’ graduate schemes are highly competitive, so apply early to avoid disappointment.
2. Alongside your CV, the answers you give us will decide whether you progress to the next stage, so we advise you to take your time to complete them to the best of your ability.
3. Our system will only allow you 20 minutes to complete your application form – after this you’ll be timed out. A good application will take longer than this, so it’s best to complete your answers offline, before logging in and pasting them into the form.
4. Think about why you are applying for the role, what interests you and research into the area of the business you want to join.
5. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis; we may close opportunities before the closing date if we receive a lot of good applications.
6. Add the Apply page to your favourite list so you can check for new roles and stay ahead of the crowd.
7. If you have any friends or family currently working for Siemens ask them to also refer you through our employee referal scheme 'TalentSpot'
8. At all stages of the application process – from filling in the form to psychometric testing or telephone interviews – we strongly advise that you take time to prepare. (You can practise for the psychometric testing stage via Kenexa here.)
